The Changing Landscape and Indigenous Life

One theme you might notice in the kits is one of an environmental shift. The changing landscape and climate have been an important influence in how Indigenous life and lifeways have changed. Urbanization, industrialization, the creep of invasive species, and climate change have all played a part in Indigenous Marylanders’ experience of the world and their ability to keep traditions.
