Relative Frequency and Probability
Crumble up five pieces of paper. Find a trash can and take five steps back. Try to shoot the balls of paper into the trash can.
How many shots did you make? If you try again, do you think you will do better? Do you think a professional basketball player would be better or worse than you at making a shot into the trash can?
Chances are, you would improve your aim over time. With practice, your skill would improve. However, as with most athletes, your probability of making a shot would converge to a predictable number.
