Josh: Hey, Jasmine!

Jasmine: Hey!

Josh: How are you doing on your research? Are you still working on your Harriet Tubman project?

Jasmine: Yes, I am, Josh! I’m just learning more about what slavery was like in Maryland when Harriet Tubman was alive. (Visual description: Jasmine sits at a table in the library, looking at her laptop screen. Josh walks in and sits.) I’m using the life story of a slave named Charles Coles as evidence. But I have to make sure it’s a good source before I use all of it.

Josh: What do you mean? It looks good to me! (Visual description: Camera cuts between Josh and Jasmimne)

Jasmine: Well, it’s more than just how something looks. Mr. Lexington says that we also have to evaluate our sources.

Josh: I think I might have been out sick the day he said that. (Visual description: Josh and Jasmine laugh)

Jasmine: Don’t worry. I was there and I took plenty of notes. I can help you.
