Two-Way Tables and Association

The results of a recent survey concerning the environment in a city are shown. Participants were asked how important they found certain topics.

Many different conclusions can be drawn from this table. For example, notice how there is an association between the rating and each individual topic. There are higher ratings in the “Medium Importance” and “High Importance” than in the “No Opinion” and “Not Important” ratings. The conclusion that can be made from this is that the people involved in the survey find each of the topics important to their urban surroundings.
