Anne Mynne (1579-1622)

Anne Mynne was born on November 20, 1579. She was a Lady of the Court of Queen Elizabeth I and of James I. She was a daughter of George Mynne and Elizabeth Wroth. Her husband, Sir George Calvert, 1st baron Baltimore, founded the colony of Newfoundland, and, later, the state of Maryland. Her son, Leonard, became the 1st Governor of that State.

Anne died on August 8, 1622 in Hertfordshire, England. She was entombed in the chancel of St. Mary's Church in Hertingfordbury, Hertordshire.
