Simple Random Sampling

As you saw in the candy experiment, simple random sampling helps us to draw inferences about a population with an unknown characteristic that interests us. If the candy company did not publish the percentage of candies that are printed with the letter B, we could perform enough samples to see the sample size approach 13% anyway, as we saw with just our four samples.
