From Mars to Mardi Gras: A Lesson in Generalizations

Relate this second experience with the cake to the Mars rover. It wouldn’t be appropriate for scientists to just dig up one small sample in one spot on the planet. They need to take samples from several areas on the surface of the planet. Samples must be taken with precision to insure that they represent the population from which they are taken.
