Building Sculptures

A triangular prism and a square prism with arrows pointing to the top and bottom of each prism indicating the bases

Some artists use prisms in their sculptures.
The base at the top and bottom of the prism are congruent.

Congruent figures have equal size and shape.

Notice how the prism keeps the shape of the base throughout the prism. If you were to cut through the middle of the prism, the ends of the slices would still be congruent to the bases, no matter where you cut.
