MPT's NTTI

What makes the National Teacher Training Institute unique from other professional development opportunities?

Master teachers, experienced in and currently successfully using Internet, computer and multimedia software, digital cameras, and video technologies, train fellow teachers in effectively utilizing these technologies in the classroom. Using this teacher-to-teacher approach is a realistic and efficient training method. Technology tools are infused into math, science, language arts and social studies lesson plans, and are supported by the MD state standards. These lesson plans are immediately applicable in your classroom.

What's in it for me?

  • Learn how to enhance students' classroom experiences with existing academic curricula, aligning instructional design with state and national academic standards.
  • Earn one Maryland State Department of Education Continuing Professional Development credit (with local approval).
  • Receive a collection of exemplary, technology-integrated lesson plans!

This year!

We now offer a more flexible, individualized format to NTTI. MPT will work with individual schools and school systems to customize an NTTI that is suited to the teachers' technology needs and work schedules. Registration fees and institute costs will be discussed on an individual school or school system basis.

For more information on registration, contact Kathy Krcma at ntti@mpt.org.
