Celebrate Poe's Birthday at the Pratt!
An exhibition of photographs, letters, and other memorabilia belonging to Edgar Allan Poe from the Pratt Library's archives.
January 19, 2009 marks the 200th birthday of Edgar Allan Poe. Baltimore is commemorating this historic milestone with "Nevermore 2009," a yearlong celebration of the life and works of Poe (www.nevermore2009.com). The Pratt Library's exhibit opens on January 19, Poe's birthday.

Nipper's Toyland

Nipper's Toyland: 200 Years of Children's Playthings features a new gallery showcasing the toys that Maryland children have loved for two centuries. A well-worn set of blocks in their own storage wagon and an elaborate French fashion doll with a trunk filled with accessories are just a few of the hundreds of toys featured in this exhibit.
